London branding strategy consultancy agency Brandsmiths retained Branding Matters to assist on two naming projects on behalf of clients in the electronics industry. For the first one, the challenge was to create a name for a new industry community portal for an established B2B electronics brand. Branding Matters worked collaboratively with the Brandsmiths team to ‘namestorm’ options and fine-tune the overall positioning recommendations. The new brand, Element 14, is now a thriving online community for electronic design engineers.

The second project was to assist in naming, again for a B2B electronics industry player, this one specialising in LEDs. The new brand has been created and launch planning is underway, but still under wraps.
