In the run-up to the launch of the new Windows phone, Microsoft engaged Branding Matters' Diane Perlman as an extended member of the UK marcoms team to manage and run the multimillion dollar launch campaign for Windows phone, which included TV, digital, search and digital out of home, as well as a local innovation project.

Diane's main responsibilities include liaising with the local product team and mobile business group as well as the global advertising team at Microsoft HQ in Redmond, Washington, to deliver a cohesive launch and sustained marcoms activities. She is also responsible for managing the work of the local media and digital agencies to localise and deliver the campaign in the UK. As part of this launch activity, Diane spearheaded a local innovation project in the form of a unique sponsorship of live cinema experiences called Secret Cinema, to raise awareness of the Windows phone brand amongst an influential UK audience.

Diane's work with Microsoft UK on Windows phone will continue into 2010.
